Real Madrid have executed the buyback option on Brazilian midfielder Casemiro after notifying Porto of their intentions.

In what was a widely expected move, Real Madrid have brought back Casemiro back to the Bernabeu after sending him out on loan to Porto last summer. The Spanish club have used the buyback clause in his contract at €7.5 million euros to bring him back to the capital. Even though Porto were interested in making him a permanent member of their squad by paying the requisite fee of €15 million, Real Madrid didn’t allow that to happen.

Casemiro played wonderfully for the Portuguese giants and made 41 appearances.

He also scored this peach of a goal against FC Basel in the Champions League. (May even give Cristiano a run for his money if this is some example!)
