Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final stages of the UEFA Champions League 2013/14 with an aim to extract revenge for the semi-final ouster last year.
The first leg will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on 2 April and the second leg on 8 April at Signal Iduna Park in Germany.
Dortmund are suffering from many injuries and have key players out. Moreover, Roberto Lewandowski who scored four goals against us in the first leg last year is suspended for the game in Madrid.
Real Madrid have scored 29 goals so far in the competition, most for the remaining teams while on the other side Dortmund have conceded 10 goals, most for the remaining times.
Hans-Joachim Watzke, Borussia Dortmund sporting director said: “I would have liked a different team for a change – we played Madrid four times last year! However, we are still looking forward to it.”
Emilio Butragueno: “”It appears there were stronger rivals in draw. Dortmund not playing as well as last yr. Lewandowski ban a bonus.”
In the other games:
FC Barcelona v Atletico Madrid
PSG v Chelsea
Manchester United v Bayern Munich
