With the 2012-13 season drawing to a close, the marketing department at the Bernabeu is in full swing to make money ahead of the pre-season and most of it comes from T-shirt sales. From the golden, the classy blue and the green of the last two seasons, we’ve moved on to 2013-14 season with stranger colour choices.
Real Madrid reached an agreement with Emirates to sponsor its new shirt replacing betting company BWin on the front of the shirt. Therefore, shirts next season will bear a “Fly Emirates” next season. It also means there will be no sponsor-less shirts used in countries like Germany where advertising of betting companies on shirts is not allowed.
There will be more shirts added in the near future and will be available in the stores as and when they are made available.
What did you guys make of the shirts? (The away kit looks a lot like Chelsea’s, doesn’t it?)
