Spurs’ in form midfielder Gareth Bale could be heading his way to Madrid if reports from Marca are to be believed. He would be Florentino Perez’s first signing of the season in a bid to woo socios to vote for him in the elections in the summer.
At the time of Luka Modric’s signing, Real had set up a protocol with Spurs allowing Los Blancos to have first say on Gareth Bale in the future. And, Gareth Bale in his regard has publicly shown appreciation of Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid through his Twitter account.
Now Telegraph suggests, Real will have first say in Bale’s transfer with the suggested fee to be £50 million for a player who has been scoring splendidly off late. Mostly with his thunderous left foot. Yesterday’s Marca front page labelled him, “left footed Cristiano”.
But Real won’t be alone in going for Bale. Daily Mail says new Bayern Munich manager – Pep Guardiola also has a large kitty at his disposal during the summer and he wishes to spend 50m of it on Bale.
Not to stand alone in the corner. Barcelona are also believed to be in the bidding process for the Welshman. Remains to be seen where he goes.
But, £50 million? Really?
