Today we have Rahul Chaudhary from Twitter (definitely worth a follow!). A Real Madrid Fan (duh!) and also enjoys the Serie A and the Azzurri.

Tanuj: First up, tell us about you.
Rahul: I am a 21 year Old Indian born and brought up in New Delhi, India. Currently in my final year of Engineering (sucks!) at BITS Pilani’s campus in the chilled-out state of Goa. Interested in Foreign Affairs and presently studying to become a diplomat. Apart from being a Madridista, am an avid follower of the Serie A and Italian National Team and also detest Man United. Also passionate regarding growth of Football in India.

T: Since when have you been a Real Madrid fan? (if you happen to remember)
R: The moment this

happened – Redondo’s brilliant backheel and assist to Raul to win us a memorable match at Old Trafford en route to a brilliant Champions League Triumph. I Was in the UK when this happened and the media singing praises of this Madrid team and it’s glorious past made me realize for the first time, what a great club Real Madrid really was.

T: What is your favourite part of Real Madrid football club?
R: My favourite part of RMFC has to be it’s glorious history and the fact that some of the greatest footballers of all time have worn the Madrid Blanco.

T: Which has been your all time favourite Real Madrid player?
R: My all time favourite Real Madrid Player is undoubtedly Raul who symbolizes the Madridismo for me. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest players of all time. The Real Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Hierro and even Helguera are some of the other Madrid greats which I hold dear to my heart.

T: A Real Madrid moment you can’t forget?
R: Apart from THAT Redondo Backheel, Macca’s scissors kick goal against Valencia in the 2000 UCL final is also something which I will never forget. That was also the 1st ever trophy I saw Real Madrid lift so it was kinda special.

T: La Liga or UCL, which one would you love to see us win more?
R: Definitely UCL, let Barca enjoy their moments of glory keeping the La Liga but UCL is something which is in our DNA and will forever be & especially after so many years of failure, I think this is our season.

T: Which has been your favourite signing for this season? (excluding Mourinho)
R: Favourite signing of the season has to be Ozil who is the closest I’ve seen in executing Zizou’s elegance and style. Definitely one of the future superstars of World Football.

T: Which game did you most enjoy this season?
R: Definitely Madrid 3-0 Lyon. After 7 long years, we finally got past the Ro16! It was definitely a great feeling to have after years of underachieving in Europe.
