Know Thy Madridista – Noufel Harris
(Read previous editions of Know Thy Madridista)
Today we have Noufel Harris who is an ardent Real Madrid and Liverpool Fan. He follows many many topics and would have a great discussion on them with much expertise. You can find him on Twitter or become his friend on Facebook. Let's get to it then?
Tanuj : First up, tell us about you.
Noufel : I am an Indian currently in Nigeria and hoping to be in many more countries. A traveller and a human rights & social development activist is what I want to be. In real life, a marketing guy*I am surprised myself*. Otherwise football crazy, news & info junkie, tech enthusiast, world movie fan and loves reading! I know..sounds like everything but nothing, right?
T : Since when have you been a Real Madrid fan? (if you happen to remember)
N : It was sometime during late 90's while watching Real Madrid take the centre-stage again in UCL that I became fan. I have Raul Gonzales to thank for making me a convert! Now a Madridista for life!
T : What is your favourite part of Real Madrid football club?
N : The legacy of Real Madrid was hard to resist. The football, the LEGEND's of the club, the stadium and like I said Raul(even though he has left)!
T : Which has been your all time favourite Real Madrid player?
N : Do I need to even answer this question? Refer previous 2 answers :)
T : A Real Madrid moment you can't forget?
N : There are so many moments to cherish and a few to forget over the last decade. The victory over Man Utd in 2000 UCL QF is one of the earliest wonderful memories. The Zidane UCL final was truly a highlight moment for any Real Madrid fan I am sure. Other than that the 06-07 season offered so many wonderful moments!
T : La Liga or UCL, which one would you love to see us win more?
N : Both..being a bit greedy! But seriously if I had to choose I would say La Liga as I want to see Barca's hold on the league title broken.
T : Which has been your favourite signing for this season? (excluding Mourinho)
N : Mesut Ozil. I am not one to go for hype but I really think he has the potential to become a playmaker in the Zidane league. He is very good for his age and he only needs to improve his consistency & performances in the big matches a bit more.
T :Which game did you most enjoy this season?
N : The goal-fest against Deportivo was quite spectacular and a relief. The away game at Milan, for though we drew the match, we really dominated and played some fine football in that match.
