Today we have José Antonio Hidalgo from Twitter, one of the socios I could spot on the network (definitely worth a follow!). A long time Real Madrid Fan and knows a lot about the club.

Tanuj: First up, tell us about you.
Jose: My name is José, I was born in Madrid (Spain) and I’m 34 years old. I’m crazy about sports, specially football, music, watching movies and TV series (I miss Lost).

T: Since when have you been a Real Madrid fan? (if you happen to remember)
J: Since I was a child, not easy to explain because my father is a Barcelona supporter and my grandmother was an Atletico de Madrid supporter.

In 1987 it was the first time I went to the Santiago Bernabéu, a game against Everton in the Trofeo Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid won 6-1. At the end of the game me and my father were waiting for the players so I could get some autographs of them. After that game I started to go to the stadium for about 5-6 games each season, and finally in 1995 I became a member of the club.

T: What is your favourite part of Real Madrid football club?
J: Hard to say, talking in a global way I can say our history is my favorite, it says all about us. Something I like too is our culture of effort, something every player who comes to the club has to learn if he wants to succeed.

T: Which has been your all time favourite Real Madrid player?
J: I have to say two, Fernando Redondo and Raúl.
Redondo was a leader, on the pitch everything happened around him, a brilliant player, he was playing alone in a position when now all clubs use two players.

Raúl is Real Madrid, he was the Alfredo Di Stéfano of my era. His debut was at 17 and I was 18, so in some way it was like watching a child like me making my dream of playing for Real Madrid.

T: A Real Madrid moment you can’t forget?
J: Probably the latest one, I was in Valencia watching the Copa del Rey final, unforgettable.

T: Which has been your favourite signing for this season?
J: Özil, no doubt about it. I love the way he plays, I know a lot about him because I was living in Bremen for 2 years, so I was really happy when we signed him.

T: Which game did you most enjoy this season?
J: The Copa del Rey final, impossible to forget it, it was my first time in a final and the team won, as I said before, it was unforgettable.
