We’ve been three weeks into the new KNOW THY MADRIDISTA where we started things off by talking to Adam Bader and then we talked to Saajid Vawda , another popular Madridista on Twitter.

Last week we had Saviola87 talk about her affection for Real Madrid. This week we have Elisa Uranga who covers La Liga through various mediums and is a huge Spanish national team fan as well. Without further ado, let’s hear her responses to the usual questions.

Tanuj : First up, tell us about you.

Elisa : Well my passion is football, the Spanish National Team, Real Madrid and La Liga.  My goal is to bring this beautiful game to the English speaking world.  I do this via our weekly podcast – Forza Futbol with my colleague Armando Garcia (iTunes link) .  Our analysis and critique on the beautiful game and our podcast at our website – Forza Futbol, as well as tweeting on the games (elisaU), having an active facebook forum to discuss the game , as well as writing for Spain Sports Network.  I still have a day job, but I love my double life.  I have been to 3 World Cups and plan on going to at least 5 more, if I can do it financially.  I also plan on doing a club tour of Spain in the next two years.

T : Since when have you been a Real Madrid fan? (if you happen to remember)

E : 2000, La Furia Roja since 1986.

T : What is your favourite part of Real Madrid football club?

E : RM instrumental in creating UCL and bringing the world’s game to prominence.  La cantera which still creates fantastic footballers, though most do not play in RM, but elsewhere in La Liga.

T : Which has been your all time favourite Real Madrid player?

E : Raúl.  It is because of him and Hierro that I fell in love with the club.

T : A Real Madrid moment you can’t forget?

E : Capello’s season, where we came from behind from Barca to win the league.  In fact we came from behind to win a lot of games to win all three points.  The spirit of Juanito was alive that year.

T : La Liga or UCL, which one would you love to see us win more?

E : UCL, la decima of course.

T : Which has been your favourite signing for this season? (excluding Mourinho)

E : Well it used to be Pedro Leon and Sergio Canales, but since it appears that they were merely selected for the homegrown rule, I would say Mesut Ozil.

T :Which game did you most enjoy this season?

E : The UCL game against AC Milan in Milano.  It was a hard fought game.  I was very happy to see Madrid fight tooth and nail to get the point.
